The Nesting Pillow is buckwheat filled. Is it firm or flexible?
The unique attributes of the organic buckwheat hull filling assure stability and flexibility, while allowing air to circulate. This provides stable body support and proper positioning for the infant, making feeding more comfortable for both child and caregiver. These properties also make it beneficial as a sleeping pillow, for support during pregnancy and childbirth, and even to make lap-top computer use more comfortable
What is the size and weight of the Nesting Pillow?
The Nesting Pillow is about 30” wide, 16” deep, 5” high and weighs 6 pounds. It is quarter moon-shape made of organic cotton canvas, filled with organic buckwheat hulls
Why does my Nesting Pillow seem to weigh more than other nursing pillows I’ve seen?
We've added just enough buckwheat to add flexibility and firm support while nursing or snuggling your baby. The buckwheat molds to your body because the buckwheat hulls interlock, giving you the comfort needed. It is wonderful for C-Sections too. The weight is a benefit as it helps to relieve pain while laughing or coughing while healing. I lighter pillow that does not form to the body would just add to the discomfort and not allow for a comfortable nursing experience.
Is the Nesting Pillow designed for twins or preemies?
The Nesting Pillow is wonderful for twins and works well with the football nursing position. We have several Nesting Pillows in a variety of NICU hospitals. The Nesting Pillows are safe and comfortable for preemies because they are organic and free of chemicals. The buckwheat hulls interlock together providing safety and comfort when placed on the Nesting Pillow. Parents and Caregivers are able to hold their babies longer in the NICU because both parents and baby are safe and comfortable.
What are all the different uses for the Nesting Pillow?
Originally designed to make nursing easier, they are currently used wherever an excellent pillow comes in handy — on airplanes, under tired legs or sore backs, and definitely as a support for baby while nursing.
